Fürstenfeldbruck – A Base for Your Vacation in Bavaria as well as a Worthwhile Day Trip
Fürstenfeldbruck is an ideal base for visiting the most popular regions in Southern Germany, and yet also a place to rest for a while.
Let’s go exploring – for centuries the splendid site of the former Fürstenfeld monastery and the Veranstaltungsforum (Event Forum) and art businesses, the market square with its townhouses and its gastronomic variety, its location on the Amper river as well as walking and hiking trails in the midst of an intact nature have made it a popular destination for an excursion. In and around Fürstenfeldbruck, there are many possibilities to spend one’s leisure time: the Kletterinsel (Climbers’ Island), the AmperOase with its swimming pool and its sauna, the Pucher Meer recreation area as well as various museums and cultural offers.
Its proximity to the Fünf-Seen-Land (Five-Lake Region), to Augsburg, the city of the Fuggers, and to Munich, the Bavarian capital, make Fürstenfeldbruck a popular starting point for visiting the charming region from Swabia to the Bavarian Alpine upland.
Everything is within convenient reach whether by Munich suburban train or via a good road connection. Of course, you can also explore the beauty of the town and the region along various routes by bike or, from a different perspective, by canoe on the Amper river.
Event highlights: the annual old-town festival on the third weekend in July, the Leonhardifahrt (every last Saturday in October) as well as the Luzienhäuschen-Schwimmen (every December, 13).
Bus parking can be found on Julie-Meyer-Straße.On Klosterstraße near the AmperOase and in direct vicinity of the Amper river, there is a RV park with supply and disposal facilities. An e-bike charging station is to be found Am Engelsberg (near Klosterstüberl).
